Yes, his SPC height is 3 foot something (can't remember inches exactly), his KNT height is 133cm (4 ft., 4.4 in), significantly taller. Although the official KNT measurements are suspect, since they put him 3cm taller than Pururun, who is consistently drawn taller than him.

But anyway, nice drawing. Grin

Hell, not even for the fact the Polly issue, he looks small enough that his SPC height may as well be correct.

...funnily enough, if his KNT height is indeed true, his SPC height may as well be Francine's, giving how tiny she is. BUT WE STILL LOVE HER.

ANYWAY BACK TO THE SUBJECT AT HAND! : o

Word has been lax on the game as a whole. Believe me, I've been looking. I suspect we won't get anything new until after the Vegas Location Test. Which, in itself, says we may just get this officially after all.

When does this fabled test take place, I am wondering?

According to The Fighter's Generation, my main source for all things fighting game related, August 8-10th.

IN TWO DAYS, FOR THREE DAYS, IT'LL ALL BE ON THE LINE : O

I wonder if they've added more people in by now and kept it on the down low.

Wow, Yattarou is taller than Speedy. As far as being taller than Pururun, I think either they may have made a mistake on her height or maybe she outgrew him not too long ago.

Is an "ears" business, Yattarou  includes his ears in his height, while the others do not. Just watch the KNT ending, why put him as a giant (One of his recurrent fantasies) if he wasn't the shortest adult in the show?. Maybe he originally wasn't that short, but it was decided to make him the shortest for comical purposes in the TV show.

The reason he's a giant in the ending is because he's the main character of KNT. And even with his ears, there are still portions where Pururun is still taller.

Well, the location test at the Evo event has started... and nothing new is there. In fact, one character (Ken from Gatchaman) has been removed from this build for some reason... Huh?

Strange.

The gameplay, however, is GREAT. Looks 3D, plays 2D. The only thing I'm really worried about (other than no Speedy/Yattarou) is the fact that Morrigan's supers. The Finishing Shower is ABSURDLY easy to block and the Valkyrie Turn is easy to miss. I sure hope she still has the Darkness Illusion at least, otherwise you won't be able to use her unless you're lucky or good?

EDIT!:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=946495&topic=44794672

Someone linked to this in my Speedy and Ryu pic. Apparently, Yattarou's seiyuu was at Otakon this year. Boy asked him if Yattarou might be in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom. The VA said he didn't have all the answers at the moment, but at the same time, it wasn't a flat out "NO".

Read more at the thread.

Thanks for relaying that. Good to hear that there's more interest for SPC/KNT characters in this game out there.

Here's a little something I wonder.

As most of you may know and much to my personal delight, they are bringing back character specific theme songs, which haven't been around since the first Marvel Vs. Capcom. We've heard some of the Tatsunoko characters' personal themes, as well as classics on the Capcom side such as Ryu, Chun-Li, and Morrigan (Hey, Darkstalkers IS pretty old).

Let's say Yattarou WAS to get into this game. What KNT song do you think they'd arrange for him?

Outside maybe a fighting game version of the show's opening song, I think the most battle ready songs would prolly be either "Teyandee Special Express" or "Battle In Flash". But that's just me.

I would use those two songs since they both are my most favorite of the soundtrack.

The background music used whenever one of the cats uses their "Hissatsu" technique (which Battle in Flash is a variant of).

I've also thought it would be cool to have a KNT themed venue. Probably in front of the Emporium, with an animated launch sequence going on in the background.

I know it's prolly the person recording the video talking out of his rump, but in this video that reveals Megaman Voulnutt and Doronjo as new characters...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9c66-giDto

The following conversation ensues...

"You know in the full version, they have Samurai Pizza Cats characters? You remember that cartoon?"
"Yeah, yeah, I DO remember that cartoon, I saw it when I was a little kid. That cartoon was tight, man."

Even if it's just random gamer BS, It's still nice to hear that even MORE people remember SPC.

On a random note, someone's comment on the video makes me chuckle. Says that the SPC don't stand a chance of getting in opposed to other classic Tatsunoko characters.

Umm...SPC is what...18, 19 years old? That's classic enough. XD

Yep, it's surprising to discover how many people still remember one of the best cartoons ever... I mean SPC, not something else... like... what?

Even if they make an appearance in the game, they might be using KNT version characters since who knows if this game will be released in North America and other territories. If they are to release this game in other countries though, they still might use the japanese voiceovers and such. Alot of Capcom's fighting games usually include alot of Japan's voiceovers and such to appeal to teens and hardcore anime fans. I kinda of have doubts that KNT or SPC will make the cut and if anything, KNT has a higher chance than SPC does.

Oh, if they do get in, of course they'll be depicted as their KNT selves. I think everyone just keeps referring to them as "SPC" because that is the most familiar depiction that everyone knows of.

Though I have to admit that it may prove a little hilarious to see what SPC fans not in the know of KNT would think of seeing them act/sound as they do in KNT.
