Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom (Well, at least they tried...)

We wanted it (naturally). Capcom wanted it (which is very good to know). Capcom were negotiating with Tatsunoko Production all the way for it to happen (and good for them).
Hooray for Capcom then, for trying.

Tatsunoko refused the Samurai Pizza Cats, and they wanted to see Speed Racer

Well,at least I feel happy for know that Capcom was really interested about include the Nyankee in this game... It makes me feel that the series isn't totally forgotten in other places besides this forum... But come'on, if they were able to include that genie character (I donpt know him so I really don't know if he has any fighting skill) whey didn't they include Speed Racer??

Anyway, Capcom's efforts about KNT make me forgive them for Rockman Zero and Rockman.EXE...

I'm pretty sure it's due to licensing rights in other countries, including ours with Disney.  It's the same reason we're not yet seeing a release of SPC on DVD out here.

Maybe somewhere along the line, Disney and Saban want to re-version the Samurai Pizza Cats, the same way they re-versioned The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (now airing on ABC Kids, with online availability on iTunes and Youtube.) And if that happens, then you could expect some American SPC Merchandise from Bandai.

I really don't want to see a re-make of the spcs....I know it just ain't any goods, it will be probably 3D, with stupid humor thats just too easy to think of like that from family guy and probably guido will be white and seymour brown or black and... no just keep it like this XD

What I meant was a Re-Versioning, NOT something entirely new! That means taking the already existing episodes and audio, and restoring the footage, as well as adding some somewhat unnecessary comic book-like VFX (like BONK! or KLUTZ!, or CRASH!). Watch the Re-Versioned MMPR on Youtube, and you'll understand.

If Disney had plans for SPC, it would've made all the more sense to ensure their inclusion in the game. It's instant brand publicity.

Why Disney and Saban? If Tatsunoko created KNT/SPC, it should make the remake/sequel

Because they wanted someone who's even MORE well-known than our favorite felines. But the real problem was moves. He doesn't really do much outside of fight and drive the Mach 5.

I am guessing this is the case. Sotsu/Tatsunoko would probably love it if the Nyankee were in the game, but Capcom may have specifically asked for the Pizza Cats.

So how come Déclic Images can get a French DVD box set done and dusted but Capcom can't use a single crime fighting feline?

In addition to Disney owning the international license, I assume issues arose from KNT being a Tatsunoko/Sotsu Agency joint venture. Sotsu is now owned by Namco-Bandai, a major competitor of Capcom.

It's all the same show as far as rights are concerned, I think. Disney owns the rights for anything KNT/SPC-related distributed outside of Asia.

With regards to Sotsu, Tekkaman Blade is also a Tatsunoko/Sotsu joint, and yet it was featured in TvC... as well as getting a (second) DVD release... and toys...
