I saw an episode of Rocko recently where Heffer went to Hell for some reason.  I sat there thinking "how could they get away with this?"  Then I remembered it was made back before the FCC went overboard with censorship.  You could never get away with sending someone to Hell in a kid's cartoon in this day and age (and before you jump on me with South Park, let's remember it's not meant to be a childrens' show).

I also like Codename: Kids Next Door. they way they ended the series they could easily come back with some new ones, if cartoon network would stop playing crap.

yea, all cartoon network is doing now is making cartoons that are just plain annoying and showing rated pg-13 live action movies like Jurassic park, nick just makes cartoons that last a few months or a year at the most, disney channel just has one cartoon running for a year and makes another one, and disney never makes a cartoon that wins awards, not to mention disney is bastardizing their old cartoons by making ether a cgi educational show, or making a s**ty sequel which barely has anything to do with the first movie, back then, a new (pretend your in the 20th century) disney movie would always be a called "a magical masterpiece", now, a new disney movie is just an average everyday movie, I don't want to see a whole entire high school of stupid teens, I want to see something that is magical again, with castles and fairy tales, just like disney was and should of stayed as

it also  doesnt help how animation looks like s**t now, they could make an action packed intro with the animation in the late 70s, 80s, and 90s, now animation just looks like paper with crayon marks,

anyways, I don't mind all of the live action shows on disney, just the over rated ones (over rated as in WAY too popular then it should), I do like zach and cody, i like thats so raven, and cory in the house, i sometimes watch hannah montana but i dont really care about it

Yep, Disney has fallen far, and I feel the pain almost every day... at least there's still new anime (Gurren Lagann) that's good!

I can tell that cartoons of these days (exept animes) are getting worse everyday. It almost looks like everbody can make cartoons these days. Most are very ugly made and have no good story . I bet I can even make better cartoons when I try to make one

typical today kids cartoon:
a kid says "Hey! i was bitten by a snake!"
*flashback* kid gets bitten by a snake *end flashback*
kid 2 says "this is like when i was kicked by a horse!"
*flashback* kid gets kicked by a horse, ALIENS ABDUCT HIM, EXPERIMENT ON HIM, then put him back by the horse. *end flashback*

great cartoons in the past: looney tunes, biker mice from mars, king arthur and the knights of justice, inspector gadet, dick dasterdly and mutley, teenage mutant ninja turtles, the lion king, heathcliff, the adams family, ed, edd & eddy, tom & jerrytiny toon adventures, animaniacs, peter pan and the pirates...................

It seems like the compelling story telling elements of cartoons are left mostly to anime these days.  And of course, we have 4Kids TV to kiddie them up and take out important parts of the story (as well as common facts of life, like death).

yeah... we need somebody to come around and really shake things up! I thought Flapjack was okay, but Zim really is the only thing that stands out as something really original to me in recent years... surprisingly, i still find enjoyment in the Simpsons.
