Surprise! It's Moe Haggany from Samurai Pizza Cats: Cold in a new outfit!



Yeah, you can even look at the design notes around him...though I'm more drawn by the colors in the center. Yes, there are all too many design flaws in the line-art of this one...but I like the colors. 

This form was originally brought up in an RP but was also planned for my fic 'Aether's Elegy'...so, not really much to tell at this point. Though I do see him imagining Polly Ester swooning over his smexy new armor plating...

Me too. Honestly though, I remember thinking when BigNasty decided to bow out that it would be really hard for someone else to step in and do such a good job of keeping the SPC theme/flavor going. Not to mention how long it ran. I mean, 109 pages is pretty darn long for a fan-made project.

As much as I'd like for someone to pick it up, they'd have a really high bar of standards to reach immediately.

Haha, yes, it would be great if someone could take up Cold with the same flair as Mr. OMA. Unfortunately, that means I'm not it ATM since, as you can see by my last two drawings, I am still a fledgling artist with no real speakable talent. But hey, progress is steady and I'm always glad to see any improvements in my work...

I like that image Razgriz. While the image isn't as flashy as some of our more experienced artists, it still looks very good to me. It's simple, decent, and I like the coloring.

They're are both the same character...technically. The story of her creation begins as an unexpected addition to the roster of what started as a joke RP between myself and Romero. Her initial characterization was actually satire of Fan Characters that are shipped with main characters. At that time, she was nameless, ditsy, had a one track mind, and no back story. As the RP progressed, everything shifted from joking and satire to srs bizns...and satire. She took on the name Isaia for...some reason. I think it's because I'm a fan of an artist of the same name on DA who did some really funny Avatar crap. Her bubble-headedness still remained from that point but her one-track mind was down toned and mellowed out with the story. Eventually, she shifted from one cliche' to another one entirely, from "Over-zealous fangirl" to "Girl with mysterious past and amnesia". Yeah, not too proud of that one now, but it worked at the time. Oh, and from the beginning of the RP until almost the end, she played the 'Damsel in distress' stereotype as well, though only technically being captured once she still fit the role.

Eventually though, her appearance shifted from the one on the right (her starting look) to the one on the left (her current appearance), along with another character change, another slight shift in her stereotype, and some 'ubber powers' to spice things up. Yes, she's not my proudest creation, nor will I use her in any serious fiction...but she does make an entertaining model to use and test some characterization things out with. She is the unexpected surprise and I've grown slightly attached to her, and she needed an official appearance. And thus, we have the above!

My next piece planned piece...will try and take things a step beyond what I've done above. If it works as planned, I will have ascended to another level and be utterly amazed with myself. If it fails, I'll cry myself to sleep and start over with something new!

She took on the name Isaia for...some reason.

Isaia is an amazing illustrator. I enjoy her work very much, also.

Nice drawings there, Razgrizblaze1. Tying out different poses and expressions like that is always fun, and it's a great form of practice too.
