Vector art's really useful for this sort of thing. I can plot out all of the basic shapes that make something up, split them into different layers, then take them into OpenCanvas or Photoshop to put in more detail.

I love the architecture in SPC... japanese with a bit of a creative twist. A combination of traditional and futuristic melded together wonderfully like everything else in LT.

I love how everyone in Little Tokyo has Satellite.

Yeah, that's one of my favorite details. Grin I remember in one episode, we see Mom and Junior inside their house, and Junior's flipping through channels on the TV. One of the images that shows up on the screen is of Polly and Lucille in those fuzzy white outfits (if you can call them that Speedy Wink ) they wore in... er, which episode was it... No Talent Guido? Anyway, in the KNT version of the first episode I was talking about, you can actually hear a tiny clip of "Mikazuki Connection" while they're on the screen, IIRC.

I've seen photographs of a place in Turkey that was decimated by a volcano, but they rebuilt the city back up from whatever they had left of the rubble, and just stuck satellite dishes on top of it all. It made little tokyo seem like a completely normal paradise.

Fel, one crit about your vector: I'd suggest extending the arc of the top rounded part over a bit to the right to cover the entire blocky white surface underneath. It looks a bit off. but so far so good ^^

I see what you mean. I'm still working on it, so I'll fix that as I go. Thanks, glad you like it.  Grin

Hey felineki, I was just wondering how that snow scene that you put up a few months was going? Have you finished it yet?

I actually haven't made any more progress on that, Im afraid. Cry I've kinda been trying to find what method of finalizing lineart works best for me, because that's something I've been having trouble with for a while. I'm definitely going to try and finish it up eventually, though.

There's no harm in experimenting ^^ Try a few different styles and then decide what you like later on. You may find that you have a few styles instead of just one.  Polly Wink

Had some free time at school tonight after finishing my homework, so I drew this:

One of my favorite robot-of-the-week designs.

I really ought to be working on my algebra homework, but I couldn't help finishing up this doodle that was on the back of one of my older assignments:

Now back to the homework. Although I have a bit of a headache at the moment, so I don't know how much longer I'll be able to endure before I hit the sack.

Here's a Francine I just did. Tried to add some shading but didn't have much luck.

This was all done in vector, hence why it's so clean compared to my usual sketchy stuff. Tongue

"Vector" and "raster" are the two main types of digital images. Raster images are composed of grids of pixels, while vector images are defined by geometric mathematics. I actually did a rough sketch for this first, then traced over it in Expression 3 (the vector imaging program I used).
